Steph Curry drops hilarious reaction about Klay Thompson’s NBA free-throw title.
Klay Thompson has claimed this season’s NBA free throw title at 92.7% shooting, a half percent better than his teammate Steph Curry. Thompson managed to hit 127 free throws out of 137, while Curry sank 299 throws out of 324, which is 172 more than his splash brother Klay Thompson.
Curry jokingly said on Monday at the practice, ahead of Tuesday’s game, “I am going to see if they rewrite the rules.”
He added, “Don’t know what 125 free throws, what that qualification is, but (Klay) got it done.”
“I had no clue until (Warriors Senior Vice President of Communications) Raymond told me today. I knew I was up there percentage-wise, pretty much all the year. I think (Damian Lillard) was up there, too. But I had no clue Klay was ineligible until last game and he made all five, so.”
Steph Curry has won the league’s free throw crown four times in his massive 15-year NBA career.
Meanwhile, Klay Thompson finished as the league’s top free shooter for the first time this year. He wouldn’t have won it without his incredible 5-for-5 performance in Sunday’s Golden State’s 123-116 win over Utah.
Just like Steph Curry, Klay Thompson he too had no clue either about this. While being excited for Klay Thompson, Curry made it clear that he wanted to take home the title this year. Curry said that he is extremely proud of Klay and has said that humorously.
So, despite being quite salty about losing the free throw shooter title, Curry has still three more titles on his name this year and he is massively proud of his teammate and all-time Splash Brother Klay Thompson.
Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors
Steph Curry has always been a significant player for the Golden State Warriors. He is regarded as one of the greatest shooters and one of the greatest players of all time. He is a four-time NBA champion, two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, two-time NBA Scoring Champion, ten-time NBA All-Star, nine-time All-NBA Selection, has won two gold medals at the FIBA World Cup, and whatnot.
He has always been one of the greatest basketball stars holding a massive 62 points career-high. In his 15-year basketball career, he has been a loyal team member of the Golden State Warriors.
On Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors got eliminated from the NBA playoffs 2024 by losing to the Sacramento Kings. Steph Curry scored 32 points in the match. Despite the immense efforts of the Golden State Warriors, the Sacramento Kings won the match. This early elimination of GSW was unexpected. It might be the first time that the Golden State Warriors were not able to make it to the playoffs while having Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson.
Despite the buzz around the Sacramento Kings win, GSW’s fans are supporting the team and hoping to see a greater comeback in the next year.
